Fr/ Dans le cadre des 50 ans d’indépendance du Cap-Vert, Deicy Sanches a été invitée à participer à l’exposition collective “Simento di onti na txon di manhan” au Centre National des Arts, de l’Artisanat et du Design sur l’île de São Vicente au Cap-Vert. Elle y a présenté son film, O pico d’Antonio nos livrou do diabo branco ?, ainsi qu’une série de photographies tirée de son projet Téra Badiu.
En/ To mark Cape Verde’s 50th anniversary of independence, Deicy Sanches was invited to take part in the group exhibition “Simento di onti na txon di manhan” at the National Centre for Art, Crafts and Design on the island of São Vicente in Cape Verde. There, she presented her film, O pico d’Antonio nos livrou do diabo branco?, as well as a series of photographs from her, Téra Badiu, project.

Fr/ Dans le cadre de la programmation “Cinema da Quebrada”, Deicy Sanches a été conviée par les collectifs brésilien Quitus et IbiraLab à donner une masterclass et montrer son film, Envahisseurs, aux côtés des cinéastes, Cristyelen Ambrosio, Natali Mamani, Priscila Nascimento et Wara, au Bloco do Beco à Sao Paulo.
En/ As part of the “Cinema da Quebrada” programme, Deicy Sanches was invited by the Brazilian collectives Quitus and IbiraLab to give a masterclass and screen her film, Envahisseurs, alongside filmmakers Cristyelen Ambrosio, Natali Mamani, Priscila Nascimento and Wara, at Bloco do Beco in São Paulo.

Fr/ Dans le cadre de l’ouverture du Festival Afropolitan, Deicy et Teddy Sanches ont été invité pour une Carte Blanche au Musée Bozar à Bruxelles. Remettant en question ce musée, héritier d’un passé colonial, iels l’ont envahi avec une conférence, des performances, des films et des DJ sets.
En/ As part of the opening of the Afropolitan Festival, Deicy and Teddy Sanches were invited to take part in a Carte Blanche event at the Bozar Museum in Brussels. Challenging the museum, which bears the legacy of a colonial past, they took it over with a talk, performances, films and DJ sets.

Fr/ “Undomestic” est l'exposition des lauréats Audi talents 2019 qui s'est tenue au Palais de Tokyo du 11 au 13 juin 2021 à Paris.
En collaboration avec le lauréat, Teddy Sanches, nous avons conçu une scénographie en trois parties afin d’exprimer de manière globale la dimension du cercle dans la danse hip-hop. Teddy Sanches a présenté des films d’archives sur la naissance du hip-hop projetés sur des écrans surmontés de grands « durags », accessoires symboliques de la culture afro-américaine, ainsi que des équipements embarqués. Puis, nous avons montré le film Envahisseurs projeté sur une toile de 9 mètres de long.
En/ “Undomestic” is the exhibition featuring the winners of the 2019 Audi Talents prizes, which took place at the Palais de Tokyo from 11 to 13 June 2021 in Paris. In collaboration with the laureate Teddy Sanches, we designed a three-part exhibition layout to convey, in a comprehensive way, the significance of the circle in hip-hop dance. Teddy Sanches presented archive films on the origins of hip-hop, projected on screens topped with large ‘durags’ – symbolic accessories of African-American culture – alongside on-board equipment. Then, we screened the film Envahisseurs on a 9-metre-long canvas.
